I wish that I had better things to say about this cafe. Firstly, its name is something of a misnomer; this is a fish and chip shop that also sells some cafe-style items. The person serving us was excellent, attentive and courteous, but was trying to manage the whole shop herself. The entire front area was taken up by a play mat for two small children (I'd judge 6 and under), with every available table covered with books, crayons and the handbags of their grandmother, who was attending them. This made the place crowded and hard to navigate safely; when asked if we wanted to take away, we felt obliged to agree, as it was too hot to sit comfortably outside and there were no free tables inside. We did, however, end up sitting outside. The food was quite good, for fish and chip shop fare, perhaps a little under what you'd expect from a cafe. The milkshakes, however, were top notch.
Honestly, I want to return some day when the shopkeep isn't so wildly busy and inundated with kids. I'm sure this place is better. But with nothing to contrast my current experience, sadly, this review shall stand as is.
